Depression

Depression

Depression can strike at any time. It has no outward symptoms, so people may experience difficulties at work and home because others expect them to 'snap out of it'. Depression is something that no-one can snap out of. It is an illness and can be a serious one. You may still be surprised by the reactions of those who do not understand it. Here you can find out about depression and its treatment.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, or "talk therapy", is one of the most effective ways to treat depression. Studies have proven that talking to an "expert" about your condition can help resolve it. While the results are not immediate, you may find that just expressing what you're feeling can bring some relief. But there is much more that can be done. Short-term therapy has become more common and may occur over a period of five to ten weeks.
